This hybrid blends strategic building with Missile Command-style shooting for unique gameplay. An epidemic known as "Groove Syndrome" is debilitating victims by attacking brain cells. You must use microscopic building blocks and weapons to defend a healthy cell. Epidemic Groove's interesting premise doesn't live up to its full potential in the demo, due mainly to the trial restrictions.
Following a brief tutorial, you'll place walls, lasers, and other defenses around your cell for 60 seconds. After that, the pathogens begin their attack, which also lasts 60 seconds. Setup and attacks then alternate ad infinitum. Each fortification or weapon costs money, and each enemy you destroy gives you cash. You can also sell your existing structures to buy upgrades. During the action sequences, clicking on the incoming pathogens blasts them. As you advance in levels, enemies become more capable.
Epidemic Groove installs quickly and runs smoothly. Controls are intuitive, but zooming on levels is restricted to the setup phases, which seems a cheap way to make shooting more difficult. Also, the trial is restricted to three levels, which is too short. We'd also like to see more variety in fortification types, but they might become more advanced in higher levels.

Version: Epidemic Groove 1.0
Pros: Graphics are splendid and it has smooth 3-D animations. You start each level with 60 seconds to build up your defences with walls, lasers, repair towers, ect. which allows you to create your levels any way you want. People who play starcraft custom maps like matrix d-fence should be familiar with the gameplay strategy. The Enemies are small phages which go directly to your nucleus to destroy it and you have to stop them for 60 seconds. This is a pretty interesting concept for a game which I enjoyed.
Cons: Like all demo games, this one has only 5 easy levels which means you probably won't pick up this game more than twice. Low-Replay value. Other than than that huge reason why this game can't be great unless you buy it, every one should try this game at least once.
