Publisher's description of Email Security

From Ixis:

When you send email messages, Internet Service Providers (ISP) usually store the messages on their mail servers before they try to deliver them. This can be a major risk for you because your relevant information can be viewed and printed on that end, and someday used against you. There is only one safe way to avoid it, is to send email messages directly to recipient mailboxes without leaving any traces on the Internet. Email Security is a unique system-tray security utility that lets you ensure your email security by sending all your email messages made with your favorite email program directly to recipient mailboxes bypassing your ISP's SMTP server. Install Email Security on your PC before it is too late.

Version 3 has stop leaving traces on the Internet.

Set your computer to bypass your ISP when you send e-mails, although delivery errors are a very real possibility. Email Security adds simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP) functionality to your machine, making it possible to distribute mail directly to the recipient without leaving a copy at your ISP. According to the publisher, the program works best with Outlook Express, although it works with Microsoft Outlook, Eudora and some other e-mail clients. The program's tabbed configuration screens are intuitively designed, making setup straightforwardif your machine can accept the default port 25. If port 25 is blocked, you'll struggle to find an alternate open port. Performance was spotty; even the help file's screenshots showed more failed deliveries than successful ones, which is a bad sign. Although this application purports to add an extra layer of security by hiding recipient addresses when mails are sent to multiple users, we'd like to see more consistent performance before we can fully recommend it.
