If you hate the thought of your ISP getting its paws all over your e-mail, Email Privacy lets you bypass their servers and send e-mail directly from your computer. It does this by installing an e-mail server on your PC. Configuring your e-mail client is simple. Just specify localhost as your outgoing mail server and increase the server timeouts. We recommend you use the option that blocks connections from any PC but your own. Otherwise, spammers likely will use your server to blast herbal Viagra ads into the ether. On the other hand, the publisher advertises Email Privacy's fitness as a bulk-mail relay. It automatically BCCs all messages and keeps no records of its activity. Just keep in mind that running a mail server may violate your ISP's terms of service, and sending unsolicited bulk e-mail may violate state and federal law.

Publisher's description

From IM-soft :

Did you know that when you send your e-mail messages, they do not go directly to the recipient mailboxes. Did you know that first of all, your Internet Service Provider gets all your e-mail messages, stores them somewhere on its mail servers and then delivers the messages to your recipients leaving copies of your messages in its database. Do you know that someday all the information kept on the servers can be used against you.

Email Privacy is a system-tray local SMTP server program for Windows that lets you send e-mail messages directly from your PC to recipient mailboxes ensuring your e-mail privacy and security by means of bypassing your ISPs mail servers where your relevant information can be stored and viewed.
