Publisher's description
(From Open Field Software ):Ella for Spam Free is the free version of Ella for Spam Control. It works with Microsoft Outlook 2000, XP, and 2003 (Outlook Express is supported only in the commercial version). Ella is the smart in-box assistant that learns by example how to read, sort, and organize the Outlook in-box. A wizard and integrated training toolbar provides users with a way to train Ella to recognize which messages to keep in the in-box and which to move to review folders (for example, newsletters and spam). The program is easy to use, and there's not a lot of complex configuration. Just train Ella, and it learns what you mean by "good mail" and "spam." The free version operates with no promo signature for the first 10 days, allowing users to see how the Pro version behaves.

Version: Ella for Spam Free 1.5.6.1
Pros: When I first tried Ella, I was a little skeptical. But it definitely worked. It required a little patience in the "training period," but Ella caught on quickly. In a few days, the level of spam in my inbox was significantly lower.
Cons: Although the training process for Ella doesn't take long, it can be a little confusing and does require some effort.

Version: Ella for Spam Free 1.5.6.1
"never mind the star rating! keep reading..."
Pros: Do NOT try it! Buy it. It's really simple, user-friendly, and efficient. You'll be amazed how it works with almost no error from the get go. But the trial version is full of dirty tricks; truly below the dignity of a company that takes pride in producing shareware, and has stipulated that the Free version will stay free (visit their site). The Free, so-called shareware version sends a message after two weeks telling you either to buy or let there be a 2 line message at the bottom of all your out-going mail. I agreed, but it at once stopped working as properly as before, letting 1, 2, 3, ... spams sneak into the INBOX, and, looking back, naturally, I should say, stopped filtering altogether! But, again, buy it if you can afford it.

"Only had it for 24 hours - can't really tell -"
Pros: I like to train it!
Cons: Don't know yet - too soon but so far nothing.

Version: Ella for Spam Free 1.5.6.1
Pros: Nothing good.
Cons: Would not recognize my OutLook Express and continued to ask me to reinstall it! Don't wast your time with this one!

Version: Ella for Spam Free 1.5.6.1
"I really wanted this one to work..."
Summary: Nope. Not this time. I'm not sure how everyone else got this to work. I'd get about two out of 80something junk mails blocked. I uninstalled and still have Ella buttons on my MS Outlook that don't do anything. The search goes on.
