This program calculates the characteristics of various electric vehicles and lets you take a test drive in an enclosed arena. You can select from a variety of motors, batteries, and drive-train types, all of which come with detailed specifications that true gearheads will probably need, such as torque constant, fully charged resistance, and angular-velocity constant. While testing your creation, you can see the parameters of your model in real time. We found the graphics in the 3D testing environment rather crude, and we wished you could reconfigure the keys you use to drive your vehicle. You can't reposition the camera angle to your liking, but we did appreciate the ability to add new motors and batteries if you have all the pertinent information. Designers of go-carts, robots, and other electric-powered devices will likely find Electric Drive Train Simulator beneficial, though the program is too technical for the average joe.

This electric-drive-train-development tool is for electric go-carts, electric scooters, electric motorcycles, radio-controlled cars, BattleBots, robots, and other types of electric vehicles. Select motors, batteries, the gear ratio, and wheel size, then take your toy for a test drive on a virtual test track. EDTSim reports torque, pushing force, maximum velocity, RMS current, and other useful information for building an electric vehicle. Version 2.5 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
