Your IP address gives advertisers, your ISP and even the police tons of information about you. If you want to hide your surfing behavior, Easy-Hide-IP can issue you a new IP address whenever you want a change. It helps you stay anonymous on the Web, but isn't a totally comprehensive solution like a VPN or more powerful proxy.
Despite touting easy setup, the download takes longer than most because of registration. You have to give up your email address and then wait for a product key before you can start using the program. Then, if you want more than a three-day trial, it costs $29.95. Thankfully, once you make it through the time taking setup process, Easy-Hide-IP delivers dozens of different IP addresses to choose from. There are several different countries to choose, too. This makes it easy to circumvent region-locking on Web content. However, no matter what region you choose, your surfing will slow down to a crawl. The download doesn't stop all instances of third-party tracking either.
Though this program does exactly what it says, you could be disappointed. It hides your IP well enough, but a dedicated tracker could still hunt down your origin. For now, it's no better than Tor or websites that will give you a free proxy on demand to surf privately.

Very occasionally I need to run the repair routine after a system update but the process is quick although it does require a reboot.
Summary
I've been using Easy-Hide-IP now for nearly 4 years and in that time I have had very little to complain about. Every now and then after a Windows update I have had to run the repair routine because some system settings have been lost but it is a one click operation and after a quick reboot it's up and running again.
During the 6 years I've been in Spain I have tried almost all IP hiding programs I can get my hands on with demos available and none have come close the ease of use, quality, value and support level of Easy-Hide-IP.
The application is easy to configure and runs quietly in the background for as long as you want it to. You can change IPs "on the fly", selecting one IP or another until you appear to be from whatever country you choose.
Enter Easy-Hide IP. It's one of those apps that once you try it, you'll have a hard time living without it. -

I have been using it for two years to get access to British TV while visiting France. It's easy to use and gives smooth streaming TV without problems.

I really don't know where the 2 reviews below are coming from, I have been using EHIP for 4 years now and have always been happy, as they say "It does what it says on the tin". Its simple to use and just works, the speed it not great but its adequate considering the cost, if you want more speed then you can use their VPN packages that will give you super high speed. This is cheap with no adverts. I have contacted the product support a few time to sort out problems that developed and they were quick and sorted me out with no problems. As for the payment well they use Paypal like millions of other merchants and they have no control over whether Paypal accept the credit cards presented. I had this problem once and paid by Liberty Reserve for that year until Paypal got their act together again.

"Getting worse all the time"

The program starts slowly on windows startup,and if it can't connect to the internet or its time to renew, it just sits there continually trying to connect, slowing down everything. I had used this program for several years and its just steadily gotten worse every year. Last year it started blocking all internet use after only 20-30 minutes of use. This year was a freaking joke! Tried to renew my subscribtion with 3 different payment option only to receieve an error each time. Tried to contact customer service only to recieve an auto-generated email telling me to try one of their payment options...igoring the error code that I sent them. The last payment option was the worst, got sent an email telling me my payment needed "reviewing"...took an entire day to to be told it couldn't be sent through. I had $800 dollars in the bank! Their competitor took the money easily enough, without my spending hours and hours trying.
Summary
If they don't even care enough that you are trying to pay them, and ignore your email telling them that their payment services are sending back error messages at the merchants point of origin...then don't waste your time trying to pay them, give it to one of their many many competitors.

This program only works for browsers ONLY! I paid for their service as it was advertised to work with all internet traffic. One month ago it was working with Torrents. As per their customer support this program no longer supports Torrents. I paid for this program for the purpose of using it with Torrents and I paid for a year service and only received 1 month. They will not refund my money or anything.

The Cons say it all this program is a waste of money to buy. There are plenty of free VPN services out there if you want something that only works for browsing. They do NOT stand behind their product and will not refund your money after discovering it does NOT do what it is advertised to do. I would also like to see CNET discontinue their recommendation of this product as well as it does not do what they advertise it to do.

-when i had it on, and tried to search on Google, Google saw me as some kind of unwelcome visitor and would not let me search. as a workaround, i would search first and then enable the ip hider. not a big deal.

So glad i downloaded it, and it is much more reasonable than any other ip hider i had heard about from friends.

Buying software that lives up to it's advertised and expected performance is a home run. Easy-Hide is a grand slam. I had tried another IP hiding app (Fast-Hide IP) for me, it was a total waste of $30. I just uninstalled it and took the loss.

Outside of greedily wanting even more IPs to choose from (which isn't a con since they already have so many to pick from) there are none that I can see or think of which is a first for me given all the other IP hiding/VPN software programs I've used.

It's very easy to use, fast, and efficient which is everything I want in a IP hiding software program. I'm definitely looking forward to more updates in the future since it can only get better with what they're working with right now.

I am not sure about CNET's evaluation. Perhaps if you really want to be 'hidden' it's not best. This is NOT the reason I love it as I have no reason to hide from anyone. It DOES however allow me to access sites I would otherwise be blocked from in another country. For example, I can access Netflix in the US or any other catch up channels. When in the US, I can access BBC and ITV programmes. You cannot do this in the US as shows from either country are often sold to the other. This eliminates being blocked due to your region. It is well worth the $30 per year. I bought it for my bf 2 years in a row. He is German. Loves it as much as I do. :)
