For ripping audio CDs, burning discs, and converting tracks, Easy CD-DA Extractor excels.
The pleasant interface allows you to configure the well-organized software to suit your needs. We like the slider in the conversion-progress box that lets you set the applications system priority. After you insert a CD, the Audio CD Ripper window displays information such as artist name, track list, production year, track length, and length of the total album. The destination folder, the quality and format of output tracks, and even the filename format are all adjustable.
MP3 settings include the ability to choose constant, average, or variable bit rates. The Audio File Format Converter window features a drag-and-drop file selection topped by a conversion-format window. The program supports a large list of lossy and lossless formats including MP3, OGG, WMA, APE, FLAC, AAC, and 3GP. The Audio CD Creator window lets you drop files into that screen, choose the recording speed and toggle the test feature. The new MP3/WMA CD Creator window works similarly, and adds much-needed support for data discs.
Easy CD-DA Extractor is easy to use and full of excellent features, and it should be at the top of your CD-ripping/song-converting charts.

Writes Audio CDs, MP3 CDs, WMA CDs, and regular Data CDs with long JOLIET-filename and CD-Text support. Automatically downloads disc information such as Artist, Track Titles, and Cover Art image from the Internet. Allows editing of ID3/metadata and can embed advanced metadata fields such as Cover Art image to the files. Cover Art images can be downloaded from the Internet using the brilliant 'Amazon Search' feature. Can perform advanced audio processing such as Peak Level Normalization, RMS Normalization, and Fade In/Out.

"I like it, but the bugs are getting hard to snuff out"
Pros: Great software for encoding and burning and sometimes converting.
Cons: The software is a developed by a one man show. The software is getting very popular and I would expect very difficult for one guy to maintain. Hire some help or open the source and ask for donations. Perhaps charge for just some of the codecs.

"easiest way to convert audio formats"
Pros: it's easy to use, mostly because the program adapts to you and not the other way around. I have large, large music collection and I hate iTunes import functions!!! this is the fast & smooth way to go!!! highly recommendable.

Pros: Easy CD-DA Extractor has done a great job for me for years at ripping my CDs into whatever format I would like, providing tagging and everything else that I could want.
Cons: Existing customers cannot update their license to support AAC files; a new software license has to be purchased if you want AAC.

Pros: I love the way in which I can change formats for music from say WMA to MP3 (in the car) or AAC for the phone. It has ben a very good piece of software which I cannot do without now.
