Version: East-Tec Eraser 2007 8.5
Pros: To the point, East-Tec Eraser does a great job like CyberScrub protecting what you do online and offline, a wonderfull privacy suite.
Cons: This program is the same as CyberScrub because East-Tec Eraser and CyberScrub are the same program. One is the European version and the other is the U.S version, same makers, so the program does the same as CyberScrub. If you install the new version of CyberScrub v5.0 it will say property of East Technologies the same makers of East-Tec Eraser. I have no problems using either software, if you use one i would suggest using CyberScrub it's cheaper. No cons.

"Great way to speed up the PC if you're often online or open zillions of files"
Pros: It really works! After a month of normal use, I used the Privacy Guard and it found 438Mb of data to clean on my PC. The machine was much quicker after that, especially when using IE7. I also gave away a couple of IDE drives - and they were cleaned to perfection as I tested one with OnTrack - no data found.
Cons: My only issue is configuring software for cleaning that has been loaded after Eraser - it is not easy to work out what needs cleaning and how to find the relevant folders/registry entries if you're not an expert.

Version: East-Tec Eraser 2007 8.5
Pros: This appears to be a carbon copy of Cyber Scrub, which I have used for years. It works very well as far as I can tell. It does what it advertizes it will do in my evaluation so far. Since I already use Cyber Scrub I'm still comparing them against each other but it is a program that I would recommend at this point. I still can't figure how these two programs are seemingly identical with virtually the same interface, yet are from two different companies. The 15 day full version trial is a good deal. If other software companies offered the same deal I might buy more programs.
Cons: It acts like Cyber Scrub but is a lot more expensive. I'm about to upgrade that program's new version ( 5.0 ) for about $25 vs $50.

Pros: A must have! I installed it on my Vista, got my reg. key in under a minute, and used the program....amazing!
My computer is running faster now, all traces of my browsing history are gone, and I am thoroughly pleased.

Cons: None...get it now if you value your privacy.
