Good backup utilities that combine maximum user friendliness with excellent functionality and some helpful extras take the chore out of an essential duty. When all that comes for free, the excuse to blow off backups wears thin. Easeus Todo Backup is just such a free backup and restore utility. Like any good backup tool, it will back up your entire system's current state, data, settings and all, or just what you want it to, including partitions or full disks, and restore your computer in the event of a hard-disk crash or other calamity. Its Disk Cloning feature will help you migrate your operating system and data to a new hard disk when it's time to replace the old one. You can also use it to create bootable CD-ROMs using either Linux or the powerful Windows Pre-installation Environment (PE), which is a big improvement over MS-DOS.
Two things set Todo Backup apart from many other backup utilities (three things, if you count that it's free): its easy-to-use interface and its wizard-based operation. Colorful, large, clearly labeled buttons and icons make it easy for even new computer owners to use, a big plus because they need protection the most yet are usually inexperienced at securing it. I just needed a tool to clone my existing OS hard disk onto a bigger one, and this easily does the job. Have had no problems with the end result so far, running Win7 Ultimate 64.
One minor thing: the location of the Temp folder I believe is set by default to C:. In my case the Temp folder cannot be the same as Source or Destination drive, and so it gave an error after attempting to start cloning. There wasn't a ready, clear explanation that this was the cause of the error.
I am not inexperienced in fiddling around with computers so I immediately figured that was the problem. Inexperienced users may have head-scratching moments. Then again if you're that inexperienced you wouldn't be thinking of doing these things. -

I wanted to upgrade my HDD on my laptop and needed to clone my HDD, I used this program for Backup my old HDD, and cloned the HDD to the larger one, it worked but some of the programs didn't start while the licences didn't worked for some reason, then I downloaded from easeus disk copy program and then clonde my drive, after cloning I found that the exact copy was made but I wasn't able to use the rest of the new drive! while the partition was copied exact size (Old drive 80gb new drive 160gb) cloning was made for 80gb, so I donwladed easeus Partition master and enlarged my partition for the size I needed. Basically I had to use 3 Programs to do my work! It may sound too much but it's worth it while it's free. Thank you EASEUS

Being able to back up my system quickly and easily is awesome. As an advanced user I zipped through this program, but it is obviously designed to be effortless even to those with minimal computer skills. The bootable media creator is a nice bonus.
Cons
I didn't like that I couldn't do a clone copy of my harddrive without erasing its contents. Maybe it could be modified to create the clone copy in a partition? Would like to see bootable DOS USB disk creation support in the bootable media creator.

I bought old HP Compaq dx 2000 and it only had 6 gibyte hard drive. I had a old hard drive with 65 gig connected to another computer usb connection. I moved it to the hp compaq and run the setup program of easeus todo and it was so easy just follow instructions on screen. When it is finished you need to right computer and click on manage to format your new partition. I got help on the web to do this. If you don't go to the manage your new disk will only show the size of your old one. I had just told my wife to day I did not think I was smart enough to do this. I am 67 years old I cannot beleave it was so easy. I have been searching web on this for about one week. and was thinking I had to buy norton ghost.
