Good backup utilities that combine maximum user friendliness with excellent functionality and some helpful extras take the chore out of an essential duty. When all that comes for free, the excuse to blow off backups wears thin. Easeus Todo Backup is just such a free backup and restore utility. Like any good backup tool, it will back up your entire system's current state, data, settings and all, or just what you want it to, including partitions or full disks, and restore your computer in the event of a hard-disk crash or other calamity. Its Disk Cloning feature will help you migrate your operating system and data to a new hard disk when it's time to replace the old one. You can also use it to create bootable CD-ROMs using either Linux or the powerful Windows Pre-installation Environment (PE), which is a big improvement over MS-DOS.
Two things set Todo Backup apart from many other backup utilities (three things, if you count that it's free): its easy-to-use interface and its wizard-based operation. Colorful, large, clearly labeled buttons and icons make it easy for even new computer owners to use, a big plus because they need protection the most yet are usually inexperienced at securing it. The program walks users through its operations and explains each step with detailed instructions, augmented by a good Help file for further assistance.
Todo Backup is freeware and is certified for Windows 7. It downloads as a compressed file but extracts, installs, and opens without fuss.

Good for entire disk backup. Works fast.

Doesn't work in full screen mode, very difficult to choose particular folders and files (on 24" monitor I have very small window). Average user wants to have somewere identical copy of certain folders and files but the program creats unwanted folders with unnecessary names giving me additional job to rename, move and delete folders and files. No synchro between source and a copy.

Pros
Was able to make and boot from USB stick VERY easily. Was able to image a failing hard drive and completely restore my system. I only lost 4 MP3s.
Cons
Starts and runs an 'Agent'. Was able to kill it by renaming two files.
Summary
I only used it once to rescue my system, and it worked flawlessly. It was very easy to use with straightforward and easy-to-understand menus. Would recommend to friends! =D GREAT WORK!

Pros
I cloned my hard drive to another hard drive using a docking station and it went as needed. I now have a backup hard drive if anything goes awry with my internal hard drive. Very easy to use even at 74. LOL

EaseUS 4.0 is as powerful as ACRONIS Ttue Image Home 2012 PLUS Pack! EaseUS 4.0 can finish the system backup in about only 20 minutes and the system recovery in about 25 minutes! It's processing speed seems the fastest among all. ACRONIS Ture Image Home has limited functions or therwise you must buy its Plus Pack. Ease US 4.0 is a comprehensive solution. For even recovering to disimilar disk, EaseUS 4.0 can make it for you.

ALL I WANT IS THIS: a backup of my files on an outboard hard drive that looks like the file tree on my machine, that is backed up incrementally as files change. I want to be able to go look at those files on the outboard disk. Is that too much to ask? Why is it that no backup software I've ever seen allows me to do that simply? Why must I wade through pages of impenetrable instructions? Isn't this what probably the great majority of users want from backup software? Can anyone help me out here?

"WORKED WHEN I NEEDED IT!!"

Pros
Set the thing to automatically backup in increments for important folder and it did just that. I accidentally wiped an important file and I easily recovered the file from the automatic backups. Using incremental backups, my backup sizes are much smaller than a regular backup.
Cons
Takes a little bit to setup the way you want, but after that it's all smooth sailing.

Can't figure out what went wrong with downloads, but it seems to work now. Functions are not all that intuitive
