"didn't install on Mac OS 10.6.7 intel"
Version: EarthBrowser 3.2.1
Pros
nothing so far! The former versions on earlier Mac OS versions were nice.
Cons
I don't see neither the globe nor anything valuable
Summary
version 3.2.1 is useless
-
"Murky graphics and markings - not as usable as V.2"
Version: EarthBrowser 3.2.1
Pros
Can show country and state borders, satellites, spin at your own rate.
Cons
Numbers in the circles for earthquakes are not readable. Murky graphics. Doesn't show earthquake marks for 7 or over magnitude. I haven't been able to add markers to the map.
Summary
The previous version was much clearer and easier to use. I'm keeping it even though it only shows earthquakes up to 6 magnitude. Much better graphics and readable numbers in circles for earthquakes.

"Unable to install on my MacBookPro OS X 106.1."
Version: EarthBrowser 3.2.1
Pros
Earlier versions were downloaded vis a disc image and they installed easily; using the product was easy and desired data was always present.
Cons
The change to the Adobe Air download installer.
Summary
The Adobe Air Installer does not work with Mac 10.5.x or 10.6 OS. I have used the EarthBrowser application since 2005. SInce the installer change was made from a Disc Image to Adobe Air, I have lost my capability. Using the CNet access was the umpteenth time of trying to install v. 3.2.1 with the same non installation result.

"Great app and getting better!"
Version: EarthBrowser 3.2
Summary

Matt's continuously improving this app and now it's on the Flex platform updating is a synch. I've been using it for few years now and my only problem is I can't stop using it when I've started! You just keep getting deeper into the features and it's totally absorbing. Google Earth has it's place but this is a different beast and more scientific in it's approach. Still simple to use though and the earth is always north to south in orientation as you spin the globe. Try doing that in Google Earth! -
"Excellent!"

"Great Little App"
Version: EarthBrowser 2.10.4
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
While not the most practical app I use on a regular basis, this one is one of the most entertaining. I love to look in on webcams from distant countries.
As an aside, Matt Giger responds personally with fixes should there be a problem.
Even if it is only an entertainment program, it is very fun to play with. Try it now!

"Great Detail"
Version: EarthBrowser 2.10.2
Summary

I've been using this app for some time and must say that it is really amazing. It eats a lot if processor power is quite nice to watch and when I show it to people they are quite impressed. I know it serves no real perpose but it is fun to play with and see other parts of the world. -
"improved with every update;-)"
Version: EarthBrowser 2.10.2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
maps are now very good, not like google earth, but that's not treally needed, unless weather data gets more accurate and the weather frogs can send us data which is accurate to the millimeter, LOL...
never crashed on me the last 5 updates... very fast now, but one needs a fast internet connection now, even with my 6mbit it takes some seconds for the maps to load, but once they're cached it's blazing fast... -
"mmm"
