Publisher's description
(From File Splitter ):Verify whether e-mail addresses are valid by contacting the mail server to see if it actually exists on the domain. This software is great to make sure your list of newsletters e-mail addresses is clean, and contains no fake addresses. Many people when they sign up for a newsletter enter a fake e-mail address, which then results in multiple bounces and possible (temporary) suspension of a domain. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

"Was this written by a precocious child?"
Pros: It gave me a few interesting moments.
Cons: It definitely does not work at all.
Summary: This software only pretends to work.
