DzSoft Perl Editor is a well-designed tool for writing, editing, and debugging Perl CGI scripts. It has a comfortable and intuitive interface for both beginners and advanced programmers. DzSoft Perl Editor is deceptively simple, but it is a powerful tool. Features include fully customizable syntax highlighting that makes the code much easier to understand. You can run a script with any parameters and see the result in the internal browser. There is no need to run a Web server on your computer to test the script.
The program also includes an Environment Variables Editor, a quick insert feature with multiline capabilities, a simple FTP client to upload your script, and an HTML Export feature with syntax highlighting. There are also bookmarks, a Script Parameters editor, an SDI interface that supports multiple instances, and a Print feature that supports Syntax Highlight. There is support for Windows, Unix, and Mac line endings, and detailed Perl documentation is included. STDIN input support and minor improvements were added in previous versions.
