"Overpriced, clunky, and buggy"

Pros
When it actually does work, it works really well at finding duplicates and even similar photos. Even found dups that other apps missed.
Cons
If it doesn't flat-out freeze (even after running all night long) , it hangs for long periods of time with very little evidence that it is actually doing anything (the timer DOES shoe activity most of the time). I have emailed the company and not been satisfied in the least bit with their reply. In short, they told e to run (my home computer) as an Admin (I am THE administrator). THe GUI is not at all eye-appealing. I even tried several uninstalls and reinstalls and ran into the same issues.
Summary
Totally not worth the cost. Especially after owning the app for at least two weeks with troubleshooting AND reaching out to WebMinds. It may work REALLY well on a PC, but most definitely NOT a Mac. I just now asked for a full refund. You have been forewarned, yo!!!

This software is too expensive to buy. I gave it 3 stars because out of 22 photos that I tested, it only found 6. (Read the summery)
Summary
I downloaded about 11 of the most popular duplicate finder software to see which one could not only find duplicates but to see which one could actually detect the same photos that are similar but with different (sizes, colors and effects). This Duplicate detector software is very impressive because it could actually show you a percentage of how close the photos are comparing to one another; it gives you the option from 100% down to 70% similarity before it scans the photos. I had 22 original photos in one folder and its copy with different (sizes, colors and effects) on the other folder. Out of 22 photos it managed to find 6, which is impressive because other duplicate finder softwares failed miserably. The software named "Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder" did better than this one because it found 16/22. The software named "Awesome duplicate finder" detected 10/22 and it's free software.
This Duplicate Photo Finder is very good because it found all the duplicates but for my similar photo test it only found 6/10.

Summary
After comparing this software with other Duplicate image finders on download.cnet.com I am 100% sure this is the best Duplicate image finder I found. I've tested this software with 7 different other Duplicate image finders and this one is by far the best one. I'm surprised this software is not on the top of the list! This product is not free but I would buy it if I could afford it in the future.
"Awesome Duplicate Photo Finder" is a free software and it does the same thing as this software but Duplicate Photo Finder is obviously better.

found all the duplicates, and even similar pictures my wife loves to take several photos just to make sure she gets good shots. this found many similar ones and let me delete the ones i didn't like.
Cons
a few times it got stuck opening a new gallery had to shut it off and restart. sometimes it found pictures that didn't look anything like each other to me. the similar percentage didn't seem to work fully, but it found what i needed to see.
Summary
if your looking for some help cleaning up your photo library, then this is the best thing for you. watch out for a few little problems, but otherwise great. while there may still be a few bugs, overall it was great for what i needed.

was great i cleared up like two gig of space on my drive. I didnt know how much space was used up by pictures that were very close, but not quite 100% alike. If your like me you take several shots with your camera. After all memory is getting cheaper. but after a while it builds up on the drive. cleaning the shots that were the same and leaving the best was great. Just like the pros do i think. I did see a few that were just different. i sent a ticket to their tech support, and they explained it. but it doesn't help. 4.5 stars.
