From Ashisoft :Duplicate Finder, is designed to find and delete true identical files over your home and corporate network with no software installed on your other computer. A list of duplicate files can be sorted, exported, and acted upon. A search session including results can be saved. New advance marking system lets you select files by date, size, and several other criteria. Duplicate files can be deleted, moved, or copied. Regain valuable disk space and improve data quality.

"It does what it says and not too much more!!!!"
Pros: easy to use. works with mp3 and itunes.
Cons: TRial version does not let you delete these files
Summary: Its a little pricey for a pc-tune up gadget but I have 25gig of dups to drop.

"Fast and reliable with all necessary options you need."
Pros: Duplicate Finder is very easy to use and very fast in searching. It found all my duplicates with the byte to byte search. To delete the duplicate there are many very useful functions like marking all duplicates in a folder and its sub-folders.
Cons: No cons, really there are none.
Summary: In my case I had thousands of duplicates that were split in several main folders. With Duplicate Finders advanced marking by folders I could mark these duplicates in one main folder and all its sub-folders to delete them.

"Terrible, worst customer service ever experienced."
Pros: None - if I knew now...
Cons: Wouldn't even find files/scan that were right there! Placed 2 files duplicate files in the same folder, ran a scan and it didn't find them. Tried it many ways and there was always a miss. contacted customer service and recevied a rude email back.
Summary: Stay far away!

""It DOES the job as advertised!!""
Pros: It WILL pull duplicates or if you are from the "Old School" dupes from any files that you have on your computer. I tested the program with a LARGE file with LARGE records and it pulled the dupes from the file BYTE by BYTE with different file names.
Cons: At 93% the RUN timer started to display in CHUNK time rather that linear. I was NOT sure whether the program had stopped or was looping. Note: the program had NOT stopped, but was displaying in a delayed pattern.
Summary: From a FEATURES standpoint, it "IS" quite user oriented. I tested the software on: My Documents in my C: drive as well as I pulled dupes on my EXTERIOR HARD DRIVE as well. In both cases it performed as advertised, although, again, at times I was N... read more >>
