Your computer system's drivers tell your hardware and software what to do. Without up-to-date drivers, your system won't perform to its full potential and might even experience problems. DriverMax scanned our PC during setup and displayed our drivers in a compact view, with up-to-date drivers marked in green and those with available updates in red. The scan found eight available updates. We simply had to click Download to get the drivers, select More Options to view an information box with links to other drivers and options, or click a Help icon to access related information. The drivers all come from a variety of sites and often download and install in different ways, too, so the ability to view other available drivers and documentation can make a big difference.
When you download a driver in the free version of DriverMax, a Web page opens with information and a download link. The Pro upgrade downloads drivers directly within the DriverMax interface, but we don't have a problem with an intermediate step since "slow, steady, and careful" (and plenty of info) add up to trouble-free upgrades and smooth sailing from then on. finds drivers that windows update doesnt, for example i just had an issue with my soound card and the disk that came with it said that it didnt support my platform.. ( windows 7 ) i previosly had the drivers and everything was working fine. idk what happened but i re-installed drivers with drivermax and everything works fine on the same old sound card! i was happy because i didnt have to llocate and purchase a new one that is compatible with windows 7...

you wont regret downloading and using this product. its free and works. finds most rare or hard to find drivers. on the free program you get 2 driver downloads a day should be sufficient for the average home user... if not purchase a license ( small fee compared to the blessing this software provides and the relief of hassel and headache!) there are several license options. pick the one thats right for you or your budget. you will be pleassantly amazed by this product. i swear by it. i h would have been lost many times without it.

"Best free driver downloader I've found."

I have tried several other programs that claim to be free but they never seem to find a single driver to download. I have even paid for programs that can't seem to find anything more than what Windows Update provides for free. For most home users the two free downloads per day should be sufficient. If not, pay a little extra and download to your heart's content.

2. Consistantly updates the data base to provide most current drivers as well. In addition, the option to see reviews of reliability before download and installation of.
3. Ability to backup the drivers in zip format. Save hours of changing disks, hunting down drivers for simple install after reformatting your computer or if a driver has become corrupt.

Register? - Yuk. 3-click operation to start a driver download - Why? Then download fails, everytime. And why have a wait time for 'Free'. A gimmick to get you to spend money. DriverMax should spend some to get a HP Gen8 server, or Sun M4000.

DriverMax identifies all of my device drivers and finds the updates for all of them when they become available! It is a blessing to have such a high quality updater that I can always count on! I have tried a half dozen of DriverMax's competitors and NONE of them are as thorough!
Cons
It is confusing for a specific driver when it changes its version numbers to what may go from a 6.1.023 to a 1.012.204, for example. I would like to see a brief explanation given in these instances. However, over time, I have realized that DriverMax has NEVER steered me wrong! NEVER!

"Great free utility software"

Easy to use. It has all the drivers I'd need it. I have been using these software for over three years, since then I has been able to update, all of my laptops and hardware.
Cons
For the free version. Even doubt it only let you download two drivers a day, I was able to get my laptop up today in a few days.
