  Version: DriveHQ Online Backup 4.0.303

  "Excellent solution for business backup"

  Pros: We installed DriveHQ Online Backup 4.0 to backup multiple file servers offsite. It was easy to setup a backup task to backup a local hard drive. But to backup a network drive is a little more complicated. The server computers sit in a corner with nobody logged on most of the time. So we need the backup to run when nobody is logged on; and we need it to backup network drives, and we need the backup software to send backup status email everyday.

  We contacted DriveHQ customer support; the support was excellent. Everything was smooth except backing up a network drive didn't work. We were told that the DriveHQ Online Backup service process must run as a user who have access to the network drive. After changed the service logon account in Control Panel, now everything works perfectly.

  Cons: The solution works great for businesses. It might be a little bit complicated for consumers. But DriveHQ support is great.

  "Online Backup 4.0 works great"

  Pros: Online Backup 4.0 works great for me. I like the new feature that I can log off my PC without interrupting the backup tasks. The new version is also more reliable to resume interrupted tasks. I use it to backup my laptop Outlook emails and sometimes I cannot wait for the task to finish and press the standby button. This used to cause problem with 3.8, but this version works fine

  Cons: It was not clear the differences between FileManager and Online Backup. I thought they were the same. But I found it later that I really need both of them for different purposes.

  "A flawed upgrade"

  Pros: I liked version 3.8 and still use it. Version 4.0 doesn't work for me. I'd recommend version 3.8 if you can still find it. (It might still be on the Australian CNet site: wwwDOTcnetDOTcomDOTau)

  Cons: As soon as I upgraded from version 3.8 to version 4.0, my computer's boot time more or less tripled. When I reverted, my boot time returned to normal. Moreover, version 4.0 can no longer run one of my four regular backup jobs. The jobs are very similar to each other, but there is one directory on my network attached storage that it just cannot back up. It backs up other directories on the same device and version 3.8 continues to back up all directories, but no amount of fiddling could make version 4.0 do the job. Version 4.0 not recommended!

  "Simple and reliable"

  Pros: I started using DriveHQ Online Backup since version 2.0; the user interface is well designed and very easy to use. The nice thing about this application is it lets you select important folders to backup, and it allows you to filter certain file or folder types and names. The older versions were stable, but sometimes I had trouble backing up my 2GB Outlook .pst files. The problem is I need to turn off my laptop before it finishes, which sometimes caused backup to fail.

  Just tried this new version, the bug is fixed. Overall, I am very happy with the software and service, it's getting better and better with each version upgrade.

  "Very stable, better than the old version"

  Pros: This software is simple and easy to use. I have upgraded to version 4.0 for several days. It's very stable, better than the old version. I satisfy with it.
