DriveHQ is the perfect backup program for those unavoidable system crashes, which make you lose important data.
Once you register with an e-mail address and create a password, the program makes an online folder for specific important files. You then set up a backup folder, and DriveHQ automatically backs up data, even as you change it in real time. This way, in the event of a system crash, you can always retrieve your latest work online once you're up and running again.
Other backup features include scheduled backups, a guide for backing up e-mail, support for file version history, and file transfer encryption. The incremental backup, surprisingly, didn't slow down system processes, although your system may vary. Navigation comes easy with the uncluttered tabbed interface.
This program only offers 1GB of storage space for free, plenty for most written document folders, but a subscription service lets you add more space for a price.

Version: DriveHQ Online Backup 3.8
Pros: Works smoothly and comes with extremely responsive tech support. I can back up network drives, my own machine, anything I can see. And the backups are available real time on their web site. Backups are fast and restores start instantly. (This isn't necessarily the case with some competing products. Test a restore before you buy anything else.)
Cons: One or two minor bugs. The developers promise to fix the bugs I found within weeks (maybe as soon as two weeks.) I'd like to see a few more options about how to choose what gets backed up. Once again, the developers promise to add my request to an upcoming major release. I'm impressed!
