• WARNING FRAUD

  I have been trying to close the account for some time but their customer service refuses. They instead spam me with fake billing with increasing amounts. I only opened an account on a trial bases to test it . After a day of very slow service and not additional benefit to other very well know options I opted to cancel.

  Summary

  Having a trial they refuse to close the account and they try to get paid for services they never provided. FRAUD!!! WARNING!!!

• Great Service!

  Pros

  I saved a lot of time and a lot of money. I had 18 sub-users and I was on Box, and after making the switch to FileManager, I saw a huge improvement in productivity. Not only can I access all my folders and data extremely quickly and easily, but it's also extremely easy to learn how to use. When I was with Box, I was paying $3,200 a year for my users. With FileManager, I only have to pay $100! Huge savings! I couldn't be happier!

  Cons

  The only thing I want to see improved is the group control. I only have 18 users so it's not too difficult to manage, but I have concerns about how it may work should I expand and require more users.

  Summary

  Couldn't be happier. So many great business options, absolutely no regrets with this software.

• A beautiful piece of software indeed

  Pros

  DriveHQ's filemanager revolutionized the file transfer capabilities involved within my clients day-to-day online interactions. What is even more impressive is the fact that this is just one of many magnificent features offered by the cloud IT company (and is downloadable to any DriveHQ user FREE). The software offers a dual platform interface that allows users to drag and drop batch files/folders at a time, create + manage synchronizations. Moreover, when it was time for the software to be updated by DriveHQ, I was worried I would lose all my synchronizations, but when I finished the uninstallation/installation all of my synchronization tasks were saved, and none of my settings were effected.

  Cons

  When I wanted to manage my group members, the software would bring me to the web browser group admin tool. It would be nice to have a group admin interface tool available on the Filemanager software.

  Summary

  The FileManager software powered by DriveHeadquarters far surpasses the client software offered by other ftp providers. As stated previously, this is just one software/feature that is brought by DriveHQ; and most of their competitors like Dropbox and GoogleDrive to not even give such an option. Rather, they map a drive directly onto your devise (which is something that DriveHQ also supports should you choose to go that route). And with competitive pricing, there is really no reason to choose those other cloud storage providers over the advanced technology and dedicated support that comes with DriveHQ.

  Pros

  their online backup service is able to backup any type of file of any size, which most competitors limit in some way. Their new drop box also lets my clients upload files to me quickly. Also, support staff has been great answering my questions.

  Cons

  Connection to mapped drive cuts out at times, but I think it has to do with windows. Not sure if its just my computer. Also, it wasn't clear how to set up the group account initially.

  Summary

  Great if you don't want to spend the time and money to get an in house system set up. Doesn't have some of the limitations of its competitors.

  I tried the free version, which is VERY limited in functionality because it will stop allowing FTP uploads after you do maybe 3 lowres pictures from a webcam. So I went month to month for $2.50, which allows more uploads and online space. Then I pre-paid for a year for $30, and they started charging me twice a month, and all my credit was gone in 6 months. In numerous emails with support, they refused to admit their mistake for double-charging me. The problem is their billing system, which doesn't properly record orders and you don't find out about their mistakes until months down the road. It is difficult to find out what you are being charged for and your current balance, and they take it for granted that your lack of understanding their billing system is your problem, not theirs. The service works, but I do not do business with companies who treat their customers like a number, unless of course I don't have a vendor choice. These guys behave like a monopoly and don't realize their are plenty of other companies who offer the same service.

  You need to register this with an e-mail and a password, and log in to use it. It's a growing, disturbing trend where everything we do with our computers is logged and tracked forever.

• Reliable, Intuitive and Feature rich

  Pros

  I have just migrated my files over from another online storage provider because I'm really impressed with DriveHQ. In particular I like the DriveHQ File Manager, it bypasses the firewall system at work and enables me to access my files anywhere.

  Cons

  Need a facilities to: * Move a file to another folder. * Embed a video file in a web page. * Get a URL link to a file.

  Summary

  It seems to be reliable and handles breaks in the internet connection very well. I think reliability is important, it builds confidence in the product. Despite the lack of links to a file, (as mentioned in "Cons" above), the UI is easy to use, certainly compared to the online file storage system I used before. I like the fast way to check account balance and details, that's useful.

  Cons

  I have cable with Bigpond, which has an very slow upload speed and it takes ages to upload files. But this is not the products fault.

  Summary

  In the Millenium of Google, it is another useful alternative.

• Abysmal upload speeds.

  Pros

  Good software, easy to use.

  Cons

  My average upload speed is a ridiculous 8Kb/s. DriveHQ has become unusable. It is useless. I switched to IDrive and now upload at a glorious 708 Kb/s.

  Summary

  My only complaint is the appalling upload speed, so low that DriveHQ has become useless. I emailed and received a useless generic reply. I believe DriveHQ has had its day.

• The best FTP tool, but may not be for freebies

  Pros

  It is such a great FTP application, bundled with full-feature FTP server hosting service. It is more than a regular FTP client, It includes FTP hosting so no need to setup my own FTP server. It supports multiple users with different access rights

  Cons

  It is not a plain FTP client as it only connects to DriveHQ FTP server hosting service. But it has free basic FTP hosting service. So why you need to connect to another FTP server?

  Summary

  The best part of this FTP program is that it includes free or low cost FTP server hosting service, which can be very expensive! Plus it supports the sharing and publishing feature, which you can use to share folders and set a different levels of access rights, or link it from ebay or your own website.
