• It even works in Windows 7, but...............

  It is easy to use, even for a first timer, and it seems faster than some of the other FTP programs I've used.

  Cons

  I migrated to Windows 7, and the program still works. However, once a file is uploaded to the destination site, you cannot see it....the file is there, you just can't see it. I didn't have that problem in Windows XP or Vista.

  Summary

  Best FTP program for Windows XP or Vista. You may want to consider something else if you are running Windows 7.

  Pros

  If you are a unix / linux telnet user, and use ftp from the command line, you like to see what is going on. This little program has a familiar windows interface, looking just like Explorer, automating your tasks without blocking your vision.

  Cons

  The website, and probably the company, are unfindable. So new users can't register. Pity. I'm writing this in order to say thank you if the author is out there. Thank you Heedong Lim for a product that continues to bless.

  This product is excellent. <p>I was looking for- <p>Something I did not need administrator priveleges to install: This did it. <p>Something I could edit my php files without having to download them: This does it great. Not only can you do it, you can edit MULTIPLE files at the same time! My only complaint about CuteFTP. <p>Something that has PHP syntax highlighting, or at least the similar PERL: <p>In addition to PHP AND PERL, it has a plethora of other language highlighting to choose from. <p>This is hands down the best FTP Client available. It has so many features, install was just click, click, click, done.

• Never sent a license after purchase

  It has been nine days since I purchased a license for BestFTP Explorer 2000, but the license has not appeared. IÂ’ve emailed Heedong Lim several times, but he does not respond. IÂ’ll be checking my credit card statement closely for the next few months. Do not make the same mistake.

  Few people seem to know of this one but I was prepared to trust previous reviews. Glad I did! Easy set up. Obvious how to use. Well worth the registration fee of $15 to get rid of the probability factor (On average it will only fully launch half the time without registration. Let's support this guy - it's good stuff.

  I have never had any problems with this program. Its ease of use, reliability, and straight-forward approach make it the best ftp program I've found online. I think it's better than cuteftp, or any other ftp program I've seen.

  I've used BestFTP for as long as I can remember, and their releases have never ceased to impress me. Not an extremely well known program - but it's up there and I'd recommend it over anything else.
