THE SCIENCE Research has shown that most our dreams occur during REM sleep and that your mind is particularly alert to other senses during this stage of sleep. Dream:ON plays the 'SoundScape' to your subconscious during REM.Almost everyone dreams several times each night. However, research suggests that people vary in their ability to incorporate the SoundScapes into their dreams and it may take several nights before Dream:ON is effective. Lucid and controlled dreaming is not a new concept, however, using an iPhone to identify when you are at your most responsive, is. For many people who have mastered the art of lucid dreaming, this was a skill learnt over many years. THE EXPERIMENT You can view a graph of your movement during your sleep, tag Facebook friends who appeared in your dreams, and post a short description of your dream to our experimental 'Dream Bank'. The 'Dream Bank' will be used to examine lots of different issues, including whether men and women differ in their dreams, how dreams vary with age, and if world events impact on the nation's dreams.
