Tired of toolbars eating up your browsers viewing real estate? This download offers a change of pace with a fresh look--no toolbars. But the plain interface could use a few essential features.

The DomSoft Studio includes a browser, a Web mail interface, and a wallpaper set. If you like a lot of bells and whistles with your Internet browser, you'll find this one dull. On the other hand, if you're tired of toolbars and an ever-increasing number of browser features, you'll like DomSofts rather plain vanilla browser, which offers only two menus--File and Help--and a very few buttons and a field for entering URLs. There is no Search field--the Search button simply opens the Google search page.

The Web mail interface is simply a browser window with two menu items WebMail Services and Quit. From the former, users are offered Yahoo and Gmail in a drop-down list. Selecting one opens the home page of the service, from which you can open and read mail as usual. The Wallpaper Set interface is likewise very plain, with no graphics of its own you simply use the buttons to browse your existing graphics to choose a wallpaper.

In our tests, all the tools performed quickly and reliably. But the lack of a real feature set for DomSofts free Web mail interface and Wallpaper Set make them instantly forgettable. Still, this browser is functional and simple to use, and offers a pared down alternative to other programs.
