From DivX :DivX for Windows includes the DivX Codec, the DivX Player, the DivX Web Player and the Stage6 Content Uploader Utility. The DivX Player plays all AVI and .divx files that contain DivX video and MP3 audio including rented and purchased DivX content. The DivX Codec extends DivX playback support to all popular media players. This package supports English, French, German and Japanese languages.
DivX Player is optimized to play every DivX file with full support for all the advanced features of DivX including scene selection menus, chapters, subtitles, video tags, and alternate audio tracks. The latest version of the DivX Player adds a download manager that allows you to download multiple videos, pause and resume downloads, and progressively play back video, and a new burn-to-disc feature for creating DivX discs from within the player. Version 6.5 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: DivX for Windows with DivX Player 6.5
Pros: I like DivX's compression and its speed. Also the Stage6 website is really nice.
Cons: I don't like the free DivX player because it just makes accessing your media plumb difficult. Playlist creation is exceedingly more engaging than it needs to be. I have set out to find a player that has DivX playability and have found The GOM Player. The GOM player lets you enjoy your media--not labor to create a playlist.

Pros: well i did manage to play most of the avi's and mpeg's now that i've installed the divx pack, and they do seem to offer ongoing support and development, but...
Cons: 1. why should i pay for a codec? can any body answer me that??
2. why does it installs a search toolbar on my computer???

"Useless for me,for you,and for everone not coolecting softwares!"
Pros: It only expands my software library
Cons: Why would you use a separate player for DivX and Avi file formats when you can play it in your favorite All-in-one media player.Don't like the interface.
