This encoder and decoder for the DivX video format gives you the basic tools you'll need to convert video to this format, which is based on the MPEG-4 standard, or to play DivX video clips. This version uses the MPEG-4 Simple Profile encoder, which limits the resolution available. However, the video quality is still quite high compared to older formats, with better compression built in. You can use the package to play both MPEG-4 Simple Profile and Advanced Simple Profile video. This upgrade features support for interlaced video and a variety of hardware players. Pros: I don't know what the other users are searching for, but this thing lets you play almost all of the divx movies. While Quicktime and Windows Media Player are unable to open most movies, like those with .avi, with these codecs you will be able to play most

"THIS ISNT DIVX ITS WORD DEMO"
Pros: this is not divx. it is WORD.
Cons: this is not divix. so it gets a low rating. and it started my word trial before i wanted to start it. i wanted it in august. stupid mislabel.
