From AMB Software :Directory Report is a directory printer, finds duplicate files, renames and maintains files. Fast and easy to use since it looks just like the Microsoft Explorer. All screens can be printed to a Printer, Text file, Clipboard, HTML file, XML file, Excel file and Excel program. Print the contents of an entire disk or a single directory. Print DLL and EXE version info. Print AVI, MP3, MSI, WAV info.
Duplicate files can be found based on same name, size, CRC or by comparing byte by byte. The duplicate files search is multithreaded making it very fast. Rename multiple files all at once instead of 1 at a time. Rename files based on MP3 tags. Multi file change date. Multi file change owner. Link files (CreateHardLink). Shows file owner, and it report total file size by the file owner. Version 31 CRCs can be loaded from a file.

"The program meets most of my needs"
Pros: The fact that I can print (and then check) the contents of a large folder in various ways is very positive to my work.

"Software is and support are both excellent. Had a response within 6 hrs for a problem."
Pros: Software provides in Windows exellent file and directory functions (for example, finding duplicate files, printing out lists, etc) that we used years ago using DOS commands; but now does these even better with more options.

Pros: I scanned my entire computer and used the feature which shows the total size of each directory. I quickly found files/dirs left over from tools I uninstalled years ago - and I found huge files from games my son installed. I can't wait until he gets his own computer

"No support what-so-ever, far better software elsewhere!!"
Cons: No support or response to simple queries what-so-ever. Beware of the inability to transfer program to a new PC/notebook without having to make international phone calls. Old interface, basic functions and far better alternatives with actual responses and support available elsewhere. Would not recommend to anyone.

Version: Directory Report 31
Pros: Exactly what I needed to clean up multiple servers. Ease of use, speed, accuracy...
I mainly needed a duplicate file finder, but there is much more that I haven't discovered as yet. I tried numerous other duplicates software before finding Directory Report.
This version (31) does have a trial version.
