From AMB Software :Directory Report is a directory printer, that can find duplicate files, rename and maintain files. Fast and easy to use since it looks just like the Microsoft Explorer. All screens can be printed to a printer, Text file, HTML file, XML file and Excel file. Print the contents of an entire disk or a single directory. Print DLL and EXE version info. Print AVI, MP3, MSI and WAV info. Find duplicate files and directories. Duplicate files can be found based on same name, size, CRC checksum or by comparing files byte by byte. The duplicate files search is multithreaded making it very fast. The duplicate files output is colored by groups for easy processing. Rename files. Rename multiple files all at once instead of 1 at a time. Rename files based on MP3 tags. File maintenance. Multiple file change date. Multiple file change owner. Shows file owner, and it reports total file size by the file owner.

"Good program, but too complex for me"
Pros: This program seems to have enough 'knobs' to tune whatever you like.
Cons: It's just way to complex and no idea what to do with it.
"Duplicate Cleaner" program is simpler and does everything I need to get rid of my dups. in a hurry. and it's FREE!

Version: Directory Report 28
Pros: Saves so much time... So.Much.Time. Best used for those messy NTFS situations where someone before you hasn't set permissions for large amounts of directories correctly.
Also good for those situations where Owner Only special permissions are set to full control and everyone else No Access. Allows to see size of directory including subdirectories and files - Very - very helpful when trying to find where the larges chunks of data lie.
Cons: Trial period.
