DirectDVD is a full-featured digital-quality DVD player for Windows that brings an enhanced movie experience to your PC. It offers MPEG-2 video support and has the ability to bring new features such as DVD-to-MP3 conversion, a 16-band EQ, and MP3 functionality. DirectDVD also supports new audio filters, such as Digital Theater Systems (DTS) and Sony Dynamic Digital Sound (SDDS). Closed Captioning is included, and SubPictures in 32 languages are also built inside the engine. Version 2.1 featured a new engine, enhanced audio recording support, screensaver capabilities, master lockout, digital log file support, and many overall bug fixes. Version 2.2 included new spectrum 16-band control features and the ability to shut off Driven Menus during playback. New features in version 3.6 include Advance DVD Engine Response, Sensor Mouse Features, fully compatible DVD internals with WinXP and Direct UserCOM localized.
