  "The WORLD at your finger tips!"

  Pros: - Connect to common networks - FB, twitter, linked in & MySpace
  - Connect to common messengers - AIM, MSN, yahoo, G-Talk & even FB chat
  - Connect to common email services - incl Hotmail
  - MYRIAD quick actions from within the messenger itself.

  Cons: NONE - if anything, I'd want extra features but what's there right now is 400% of its closest competitor (Pidgin or anything).

  Summary: Digsby puts your online world at your finger tips - all your emails, networks, messengers - ALL neatly tucked away into just this one uncanny little application.

  "works well,dont like having to sign in to use it"

  Pros: lots of social networks and im accounts,ton of options maybe a bit much,but works well

  "THE Universal Chat App. Flaw is no local profile cache"

  Pros: It's really fabulous. You have server-side storage of all of your IM and many social networking accounts' info, so that no matter where you log into your Digsby account from, it's all there. Very Sweet.

  Cons: The one real flaw is that you are exposed to a possible Digsby server-side outage, such as the one that happened 02/09/09 and took most of the day to resolve (http://forum.digsby.com/viewtopic.php?id=3517).

  Version: Digsby Build 45

  "Universal messenger that just works"

  Pros: Integration into Facebook chat amazed me - it also can log into your FB account so you can send messages, change your status and directly link to your friends' profiles. It also supports new email notifications for Gmail, which Trillian didn't have.

  Cons: A bit too complex for a starter, but can be tweaked into a simple application for your desktop. Make sure you deny installation of unwanted apps by declining them on install.

  "Almost Perfect"

  Pros: supports multilple interfaces. file transfer and video works unlike trillian.

  Cons: There is a lag when using hte messenger some times and very often. it can be a 10 minute delay and occasionaly you wont get the message at all.
