From MeeSoft :Diagram Designer is a simple vector graphics editor for creating flowchart and diagrams. Its features are customizable template object palette, slide show viewer, import/export WMF, EMF, GIF, BMP, JPEG, PNG, MNG, and PCX images, simple graph plotter to plot mathematical expressions, spellchecker, advanced pocket calculator with equation solver, MeeSoft Image Analyzer integration for bitmap image editing and extended file format support, and uses compressed file format for minimizing drawing file size. The download includes an online help file. Version 1.19 includes following changes: Closed curve can be converted to polygon and filled, Preview of template palettes in load dialog is added, Template palette remembered from last run.

Version: Diagram Designer 1.19
"Nice simple free program, no frills"
Pros: No immediately obvious bugs. You can make a basic flowchart with lots of different shapes. Gets the basic job done. This is an excellent example of software with its priorities straight! -- You see so many free programs with "hot" features that don't fully work.
Cons: It could use a few frills. Especially, arrows don't attach to objects, so as you move the objects, you have to move / redraw the arrows.
Instead of graphical menus for bold, underline, font size, etc., you use a simple markup language, which is explained right there in the text editor. Could be worse!

- Very good value, as it's free
Cons: - No form of real WYSIWYG editing

"A simple, no-nonsense solution to get flowcharts done quickly."
Pros: You can get a running start on creating flow charts with zero experience with the tool. A great solution for those that can't affort those enterprise diagramming programs but need to create simple flow charts for documents.
Cons: Would be nice to have more control over the connector lines.
