From Comcast:
The Desktop Doctor takes a snapshot of your Internet and email settings at a time when you have normal connectivity to the Internet and your email settings are functioning properly. "Works better than Comcast EasySolve."
Version: Desktop Doctor 2.5.5
Pros
Comcast discontinued Desktop Doctor & replaced it with Easy Solve, which is broken from the getgo. My mother also tried ES on her computer with no luck. We reinstalled DD.
Our modem craps out on us all the time & running DD refreshes the IP address. That's what it's useful for.
Installing Easysolve will uninstall DD. CCleaner will also uninstall DD.Cons

"Absolutely Useless"
Version: Desktop Doctor 2.5.5
Pros
It makes you *think* you're making some kind of progress...
Cons
Everything
Summary
If only I could give it 0 stars... It spends 80 seconds testing your connectivity, and if it can't connect, it spends another 80 seconds testing it again before it even attempts to launch into a troubleshooter. (Which by that time your connection probably re-established itself and it claims it "solved" your issue.) The "troubleshooter" offers some bogus steps to reset your browser settings, which doesn't solve the problem, and then it runs out of solutions. It's a complete waste of disk space.
