  "Full Featured & Free!"

  Pros: Free program (no nag screen or limitations); project "wizard" startup screen; printer alignment tool; includes good assortment of clipart and ready-made design templates; clues printing templates for virtually all available Avery label styles; insertion of various bar code types including postnet; automatic serial numbering option; automatic date/time insertion option; create individual "standalone" labels or create/edit database and link to a design; convert obsolete Avery database (from Version 3 upward) to current LabelPro database; allows dBASE III import; choice of printing entire database (i.e.; mailing list) or user-specified entries; full bleed color backgrounds and fill patterns; resizing of clipart & photo images; create custom text effects & formatting (i.e.; circular text, text rotation, etc.); draw lines, shapes, borders; allows user to download additional content from Avery web site; integrated "Effects Gallery" image editor (crop, sharpen, blur, brightness, contrast, color balance, saturation, negative/b&w conversion, red-eye reduction, sepia tone) and Special Effects (emboss, oil painting, pixelate, solorize).

  As you can see, most of the features one would expect in a labeling program are included. That said, this is neither the easiest nor most difficult application of it's kind. Many users will find they are able to create nice looking individual labels without reading the extensive "help" file. Those who wish to utilize the database features (for printing mailing lists, etc.) or use advanced features such as bar coding, serialization, etc., will probably need to spend 30-60 minutes reading the instructions and becoming familiar with the program. Bottom line, although similar programs might have a more attractive (and possibly more intuitive) interface, why spend $30-40 when LabelPro 5 LE offers a competent feature-set, full compatibility with all Avery and generic labels and costs absolutely nothing?

  "This is NOT freeware!!!!"

  Pros: I like the templates and ease of use

  Cons: AFTER USING IT FOR AWHILE SOME FEATURES JUST DISAPPEARED---.LIKE SPEFIFIC FONTS I HAD USED AND THE TEMPLATE FOR BUSINESS CARDS WAS SUDDENLY NO LONGER THERE

  "Great Value!"

  Pros: The big pro is that it is FREE! All I needed was software to print personal business cards and that doesn't justify spending $39.99. It is strange that this Avery program is not available on the Avery website--all they have are Word templates, which are not as easy to use.

  Cons: It's a little buggy. The "show grid" option doesn't show the grid. Also, occasionally when you highlight text to change the font style or size nothing happens; indeed the font style and size drop down boxes grey out and become unuseable.

  "Probably the worst "free" download I've ever used."

  Pros: I really can't think of any.

  Cons: Bloated and does nothing of value.

  You can go to the Avery site and design your stuff online free.

  "Not too Bad"

  Cons: The only problem i came upon was the fact that it only prints one design out at a time instead of a whole sheet worth. If you've got the time then this program is ok to use. If you dont have the time then dont fool with it.
