CNET Editors' review
The Defraggler helps computer users who feel their system is running too slow. This simple program performs a complicated task that streamlines your PC's thought processes, but be prepared for a wait.
This free unlimited download attempts to bring order to your scattered RAM. When a file is created, portions of the item are spread into free spaces throughout the hard drive. As more files accumulate the computer has to work harder to piece together the puzzle that has become your specific file. This results in a slow computer. Defragmenting seeks out all these matching pieces and lines them up, making work easier and faster for the computer.
Defraggler downloads easily and is simple to understand. Its display shows users how much memory is available on their computers and also performs a search to show exactly how many files are fragmented in the entire computer. From here you can choose to defragment all or select specific files for defragmentation. Experts recommend regular defragmentation to keep computers running smoothly, so the Defraggler offers a scheduler to automatically run the program.
Defraggler is easy to understand and performs its job well. There is a strange chart along the top that seems to move for no real reason and is best ignored, but is only a minor annoyance. In addition, be prepared for a long wait time. Defragmenting a computer can take dozens of minutes. Still, if you want to improve computer performance, this is a great place to start.

"I really like it, but don't believe the health numbers"
Version: Defraggler 2.09.391
Pros
To be able to see how the program is working and to be able to differentiate between the types of data is real handy. I have always found the efficiency of this program to be a great feature.
Cons
It is nice to be able to see the health of your system, however, I have a new (not refurbished or returned) laptop that is only approximate 30 days old. However, the health display shows that the harddrive is over 753 days old. The flying hours show 494 hours. Since I have a record of when the system was built, I believe that these numbers are not accurate.
Summary
Except for some issues with numbers, the efficiency and ease of use of this software makes it more than worth while.

"The Quick Defrag is Fast !"
Version: Defraggler 2.09.391
Pros
The Quick Defrag option is the fastest such feature available on any defrag utility I've used, with the possible exception of the one which comes with the Ashampoo WinOptimizer suite.
Cons
Apparently the full defrag can take a long time from others' comments here; but that is true for any defragger on a disk containing a lot of used space, being defragmented for the very first time.
Summary
I always choose Quick Defrag since I have PerfectDisk to do a thorough defrag. Remember that full defrag not only defragments files and folders, but also optimizes their placement on the hard disk. If you don't have much time to wait, choose the Quick Defrag option from the dropdown menu at the bottom. But this is excellent, especially considering it is free. Along with the free defrag utilities by Auslogis and IObit, this is one of the best ones.
Latest version is excellent! I like the "health report" on your hard disk, the tab with S.M.A.R.T. results for drives who support that, etc.
