This is a good tool for beginner Korean-language learners that unfortunately forces you to invest in other programs from the developer's suite to take advantage of all its features. Declan's Korean Dictionary has some 23,000 words you can look up and save to a list for later practice. The list, however, can only be downloaded into the Korean flash-card program from Declan. That said, the program itself is easy to use and we had no problem during testing returning to words we had previously looked up for additional review. Though you can cut and paste words or characters into Windows applications, the steps are cumbersome; you have to right-click a word to copy it to a clipboard, then transfer the text to Word, for example. Overall, this is a rich dictionary with plenty of information for the beginning language learner; it's too bad its functions are so tied up with the developer's other software.

Publisher's description

From Declan Software :

Declan's Korean Dictionary is a fully searchable, 23,000-word Korean-English dictionary. The database includes tens of thousands of examples as well as hanja (Chinese characters) for all Sino-Korean words. The program allows custom word lists to be compiled and exported to Declan's Korean FlashCards XFL files. Word hangul, hanja, meaning, and examples can be copied to the Windows Clipboard and pasted into other applications.

Scan, edit, clean, and fix your system registry.

    Version: Declan's Korean Dictionary 1.0

    "Stacz 2.1 is much better"

    by Sean123ct on May 23, 2005

Pros: bought the product and the registration code didn't work. I asked for a new registration code or fix the problem. After numerous e-mails I got a response that it is as easy as cutting the code and I need to get a life. The problem was that the program downloaded from here is an old version and when you click on register it goes to their website---for payment with no mention about the version etc. Also, support doesn't tell you this either. Anyways they told me to "get a life buddy" when I asked for a refund. Don't do business with these people.

    Cons: The lists are useless
