If you have hours of spare time do not hesitate to try out this game. Be aware that once you start playing, you will not be able to give it away, and the game will devour tons of your precious hours, days, and weeks. Dark Age of Camelot is very addictive because it features superb graphics, rich textures, vivid character models, balanced skill system, challenging gameplay, and lots of fun in interaction with other players online. You can choose to be a good specialist in wizardry and magic, or prefer to grow into a fierce warrior, to act as good or evil, to amaze the world or to explore the enigmatic universe of the magical world. Anything is at your hand. This is a number one choice for any seasoned and savvy gamer. We suggest that you try playing this game even if you have devoted weeks to another online role-play game. You may like the world and gameplay of Dark Age of Camelot much better than other online worlds. The only drawback of this very demo is that you have to download 1,5 GB to experience 14-day trial.Publisher's description

"Best on-line game ever. I like EQ2, but I love DAoC!"
Pros: Easy, simple interface; UI modes available; clustered servers; it can only get better with age! Level 20 Thidranki battlegrounds rock! Some ppl maintain lvl20 toons just to play there. The online community is wonderful on their Merlin/Hibernia server and any other server I've tried. Classes and races are diverse and yet easy to understand. Mythic customer service has been very good with me. In-game help/appeals is usually available right away with a minimal wait.
Cons: Crafting is tedious but eventually worth it. Radar is delt with, so they say, but not according to my death stats at the hands of obvious, continuous users who evade detection by Mythic. I recommend a good gaming machine and/or connection or you go link dead when zoning but you need a good pc and connection to play online period. Don't blame Mythic for the shortfalls of your pc and/or connection. Invest a little and you will enjoy this game without doubt. It CAN be played on dialup, however.
