Daemon Tools Lite is a free tool that lets you create and burn simple disk images and add up to four virtual DVD drives to your system. These drives work just like a physical optical drive, only you don't have to keep shoving disks in and out of the tray. You can store your DVD and CD content on your hard disk and access the data quickly.
Daemon Tools Lite has significant advantages over many similar tools. For instance, it doesn't use a proprietary container format, which makes it widely compatible and gives you more options when burning or checking disks. Daemon Tools Lite mounts most disc image types, and creates ISO, MDS/MDF, and MDX images of CD, DVD, and Blu-ray discs. It also compresses disc images and enables password protection.
Daemon Tools Lite's user interface is plain and simple but with an efficient layout that is crisply rendered. The larger of two windows displays your Image Catalog; below it, a narrow window displays your added drives, starting with the first virtual drive. Daemon Tools Lite creates two types of virtual drive: DT virtual devices, which offer basic emulating capabilities, and SCSI virtual devices, which emulate discs with special signatures such as security locks. Most users will find DT virtual devices sufficient for day-to-day use. The toolbar separating the upper and lower windows contains all of Daemon Tools Lite's controls, starting with Add Image controls. We could mount and unmount images, add DT and SCSI virtual devices, remove existing virtual drives, and create disc images. A Preferences tool let us configure everything from Hotkeys to Confirmations.
Daemon Tools Lite is easy to use. We clicked Add Image, browsed to some ISO images, and added them to the Image Catalog. Then it was a simple matter of selecting drive and image and clicking the Mount arrow. We were able to access our new drive normally in Explorer. Daemon Tools Lite is a great choice for laptops, especially those that lack optical drives. But anyone who uses DVDs or CDs for data or pleasure can save time and power by using virtual disc drives instead of spinning plastic.

DAEMON Tools Lite is a virtual DVD-ROM emulator based on a SCSI miniport driver. It emulates max. 4 DVD-ROM drives and works with CD/DVD images created by many burning programs. It is great on notebooks without a physical CD-/DVD-ROM drive or to save akku power and speed up CD/DVD access. In opposite to other CD-/DVD-ROM emulators DAEMON Tools Lite doesn't use a proprietary container format. The advantage is that you can burn the images you're using with DAEMON Tools Lite right away or just test an image before burning it to see if it was created correctly. DAEMON Tools Lite works with most image formats. Moreover it has a special feature to make physical (burned) backups of your CD / DVD images when it is possible. It supports Alcohol120%-Images (MDS-Files) and RMPS-Media. It's also great if you want save Power on your Notebook.

Summary
Free for personal use is always good when the alternatives for what I required were pay. The price you do pay is the time spent cleaning up your system and browsers from the installed crap.

You will actually have to read the options when installing to have a clean install of DeamonTools decline the searchbar. it doesnt cancel the installation and then choose custom installation and uncheck the extra optins om 3rd party software.

Summary
No matter what choices made during install, you will have toolbars installed against your will into all of your browsers. After choosing not to have anything extra installed, including analyzing all the custom install options, to have it still install multiple spyware on my PC is unacceptable. I know it came from this install because I chose NOT to install that specific toolbar, yet it installed anyway.
Agreed, you cannot prevent the install of the SweetIM toolbar AND the SweetIM updater. You can't make claims about other people's reviews.

It comes packaged with viruses and malware which you get no real option to disable.
Summary
Do not download this, it will infect your computer with malware and viruses that take control of your browser and are extremely time consuming to get rid of, and persist long after you've uninstalled the software from this company. If you want ISO mounting software, I suggest you look elseware, to developers who won't maliciously infect your computer.
