DVR-MS Converter is a basic program that allows users to convert DVR-MS files to MPEG2 files, which can then be burned to DVDs. Although the program works easily and quickly once everything is set up correctly, we first had to do some futzing with Windows Media Player in order to get the MPEG2 files to play. This really has nothing to do with DVR-MS Converter; first-time users of DVR-MS conversion software should be aware that this is a Windows Media Player issue and not a downfall of the program.
The program's interface is quite simple and intuitive, with large graphical buttons depicting its major features. Users simply browse to the DVR-MS file or files that they want to convert, select them, and then click the Convert button. The program performs the conversion quickly and saves the new MPEG2 files to a destination folder selected by the user. The program's built-in Help file is rather brief, but it explains the basics of the program's functions. The program is a bit of a one-trick pony--it will convert your DVR-MS files to MPEG2 files and nothing more--but it's very easy to use. Users seeking a quick and simple way to perform this task without a lot of bells and whistles will find that DVR MS Converter meets their needs just fine.
DVR-MS Converter is free to try, but the trial version converts only a portion of the original files. The program comes as a zip file, installs desktop icons without asking, and leaves a folder behind upon removal. We recommend this program to all users.

"Wouldn't work-said it needed a mpg multiplier"

None - was unable to even open
Cons
Obviously this isn't something you can download and expect to work as 1 package. Couldn't find an mpeg multi with the download. Don't know enough about it to see about a stand-alone product and its feasibility AND was in a hurry.

The mpgs crash my Sony DVD Architect pro making it very hard to produce dvds. The mpgs show up without thumbnails in WMC and finally I talked to the owner of this product and He answered twice but refused to try to troubleshoot the thumbnail problem.

Will work but needs alot more work.
