Restrict access and monitor user logins using this simple program, but advanced users may find it too basic. DSecure 2002's simple interface is activated at the system tray. Merely double-click it or choose Configure from its right-click menu to modify the settings. This application easily locks down your computer after a set lapsed time or immediately upon Windows start-up. It quickly restores your original desktop only after receiving a correct username and password. You can easily create and manage multiple user accounts, define the number of login tries, and view the log report that includes details of both successful and failed logins. Every failed attempt sounds an alert that may scare off unauthorized users or irritate your office mates. The configuration menu is even password-protected to prevent illegitimate users from changing program settings. Users of later Windows operating systems will find this program adds little to functions present in the OS. Unfortunately, we found DSecure 2002 often hung after the limited number of tries. Novice to advanced users of older Windows operating systems may find this basic security tool beneficial.
