Publisher's description of DSW Piano
From DemonicSoftware:DSW Piano is a small yet powerful program that lets you play music on your computer. The only thing you need is Windows, and a keyboard. DSW Piano transforms your keyboard into a piano, or any of the 128 General MIDI instruments available on any computer with a soundcard. If your computer does not have a soundcard, thats not a problem - DSW Piano can play notes on your PCs internal speaker (on a desktop, this is usually on the motherboard or inside the case), however the sound produced by this is a very basic "chirp" sound with no volume control. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Version: DSW Piano 0.1.3
Pros: It was simple to install and it is so user friendly that I would recommend this software to everyone. I really enjoyed exploring marimba and steel drums for a Caribean mood. I also enjoyed the woodblock , tubular bells, and vocal tones.
Cons: When you press numbers in order to get flats on the lower scale it leaps to a different instrument which actually is a good short cut to changing between sound effects.
Summary: I enjoyed this software because it is easy to use and the wonderful collection of instruments.

"The best of current piano softwares that I've tried"
Pros: This is outstanding apart from other virtual pianos in that you can asign your own keys. This free program is better than other paid programs. The interface is simple and key response is fast, the sound is good and the selection of sound is large.
Cons: When too many piano keys are pressed at same time it dosen't register. This happens to other virtual piano softwares as well. Not entirely the program's fault but due to Microsoft Wavetabl's and MIDI Mapper's limitations.
Summary: This is great. I have made this program portable so that I can bring to my workplace and practise piano when I am bored.
