  For those singers out there, the pitch is too high. There is no means of altering the pitch as I could see.

  it take time to "get use to it". but getting simple, and simple. work hard....

  last but not least, how about the developer of DSW piano provide the user with some simple piano tab. at least, i can play piano too. hehe. at least i can "show off" in front the lady..... hehe....thanks!!!

  Pros

  + Easy interface and help file + Uses keyboard buttons to play + Supports MIDI IN and OUT + Allows to play together with multiple computers + Uses MIDI sets on the pc (a normal pc has 128 instruments + Extremely small programme (less than 2mb)

  Cons

  - Does not come with MIDI instruments, so sound quality is pretty bland - Only supports MIDI IN and keyboard for input (so no mouse support - Cannot save file as MIDI files, only in a custom format

  Summary

  An extremely simple and small program, just what I was searching for, because I play keyboard myself and I wanted to do it on my pc. Although it lacks some MIDI tables for better sound quality (it works with the ones pre-installed with windows) and the ability to save to MIDI, it doesn't make any promises for those kinds of things anyways. However, MIDI IN and OUT support are a welcome surprise as well as an feature to connect to other pc's, which also comes with a chat window (not tested). All in all DSW piano could be better, but it already a nice little program as is.

  Huge variety of instruments. Ability to record music.

  Cons

  Lack of ability to use the mouse to play keys.

  Summary

  Good bit of software for having a fiddle on the piano. The ability to record and play-back your recordings is also very good. Would be nice to also be able to play the keys by clicking on them instead of having to use the keyboard.

  Pros

  It was simple to install and it is so user friendly that I would recommend this software to everyone. I really enjoyed exploring marimba and steel drums for a Caribean mood. I also enjoyed the woodblock , tubular bells, and vocal tones.

  Cons

  When you press numbers in order to get flats on the lower scale it leaps to a different instrument which actually is a good short cut to changing between sound effects.

  Summary

  I enjoyed this software because it is easy to use and the wonderful collection of instruments.
