Aside from the rather short trial period, this billiards game hits all the balls in the right order. DDD Pool offers several variations of billiards, including eight-ball and nine-ball. It's also nice that the program lets you play in several rooms. The top-notch graphics display a surprising level of detail. For example, in one of the pool rooms, you can clearly make out the finer points of one of the paintings hanging on the wall. The sound effects are equally realistic, and it's very easy to shoot using either your mouse or the control keys. The computer opponent is quite skillful, even on the easiest setting, but you can choose to play against another human should you master the game's AI. Since DDD Pool is so addictive, we would have preferred a longer trial period than the allotted 60 minutes. We'd bet more experienced pool players looking for a good way to virtually sharpen their stick skills won't be disappointed with this game.Publisher's description
From Paprikari :DDD Pool is a pool simulation with cutting-edge 3D graphics, realistic physics, and comfortable gameplay, guaranteeing many hours of fun and pleasure. Play eight-ball and nine-ball in challenge and practice modes. Choose among three detailed rooms: cozy, neon, and white. You can play with your friends or against the computer. Your computer opponents' skills may vary from easy to medium and hard as your own skills improve. Beat the clock in two challenge modes. Use practice mode to master your skills. Play in first-person view or the overhead view. Perform shots using a power meter or in a natural way via mouse movement.
Graphic details such as real-time reflections and shadows enrich the environment and put you inside the game. Version 1.2 brings more "human like" computer AI, compatibility with DirectX 8, and ability to look around the table from various angles before taking the shot.

Version: DDD Pool 1.2
Pros: Very polished game, surprise among downloadable games. This title more belongs to AAA games, than in it's own category.
Smooth play, pleasant environment and precise physics. What do you want more from it?
Cons: Absolutely there is nothing I don't like about this game.

Version: DDD Pool 1.2
"OK, Computer player uses English, I can't."
-
Version: DDD Pool 1.2
Pros: Graphics are great, pretty accurate shooting and nifty ability to vary the view. Just what I've been looking for!
Cons: Making the Eight ball on the break means you Win, not a penalty.
And sinking an opponenets ball after sinking your own is not a penalty.
And... what the heck is "potting"?
