Publisher's description
From David-Laserscanner :DAVID-Laserscanner is a freeware software for 3d laser range scanning. All you need to build a 3d scanner is a PC, a camera (e.g. a webcam), a background corner, and a hand-held laser that projects a line onto the object you want to scan. So everyone can use it to scan objects without high costs; this is the big advantage over commercial solutions which are rather expensive. Version 1.4b allows you to grab textures and to view the texturized model in 3D.

Pros: good

Version: DAVID-Laserscanner 1.4b
Cons: Not the software as such--but the site doesn't give it to me! I go to the d/l link, and I immediately get a page thanking me fir d/ling the product--but no d/l occurs. I click on the 'd/l problems' link, get a new page pointing to an alternative d/l link, which then tells me that there is no such file. This happened to me using both Firefox and Opera, under XP-Sp2; but all my other d/ls from this site have been good
I'll come back with a review of this package--if 7 when I can get it!
