"Worst piece of software I have seen in years"

It Installs. That is the ONLY good thing I have to say about it.
I was not able to un-install it as the un-install process locked up.
What a piece of crap!Cons
I am running version 10. I have not seen such bad software in years. I am a software developer with 30+ years and this is in my opinion one of the worst I have ever seen. Granted in came packaged with a new computer but I feel like I should be paid for having even been bothered with it.
Summary
Do not bother with this if you are looking for a DVD player. Get Media Player Classic. Get it from the real site, not one of those scam sites that want you to run their "installer" that loads your PC with adware and malware. Beware, there are many.

Upon purchasing,I expected some c. support. never got any solutions. I Felt avoided-all costs-ran around to purchasing services which never delivered;unfortunate, because liked quality and clarity!

I bought the software - can not get cyberlink to reinstall it -upgraded from Windows XP to Win7! Cust. Support ticket attempt leads to "check support ticket" option [but I want to send one! .fishy] Sent a re-install link but failed- was an upgrade.exe version[and in my case doesn't apply.Again, hmm] option is to re-purchase.Hmm. I found out people have done that. they have same problem,again. Not worth the h-a-s-s-l-e around it. Look elsewhere.

When i installed this with my windows 7 it immediately corrupts my user profile
so when i logged in it logs me to an temporary profile that resulted to forcefully delete my profile and it was not even fixed and always contacting malicious websiteSummary
i personally dont like this program and hate this program as it crashed my system with this user profile corruption i uninstalled it already

Went from XP to Win 7. No help from Cyberlink support other than the same queations 5 times, Install Code, Pirchase order, Proof of purchase etc by vCSaba@Cyberlink support. A Rip Off!

It can play HD movies from your HD DVR fairly smoothly - not always.
Cons
Screen goes blank and program stops responding with no user feedback when getting video clips from a device. Can't tell if it crashed or doing something else. It behaves as if it crashed. Audio and video can play out of synch by several seconds!
Summary
Not a professional product. Behaves as a home-brew program. If you don't want to pull your hairs out, get a quality product from a known, reliable software manufacturer.

Tried this because powerdvd8 wouldn't play a movie I burned. This wouldn't either, but the newest vlc player had no problem.
Summary
I didn't try this for anything other than reading dvd disks, and it fell short.
