Version: CyberLink PowerDVD 9.1501D
Pros: It plays every format other than the one I bought it to play.
Cons: Blu Ray playback drops frames, freezes, and lacks the resolution of even a basic stand-alone player.
Summary: My system is the latest and greatest of most components, I'm an IT professional. I'm running windows 7. All my stuff is HDCP compliant. BluRay on PowerDVD9 won't run smooth for long. It starts dropping frames after about 15 seconds, then starts f... read more >>

"limited user definabilities, buggy, barely adequate"
Pros: plays bd, after upgrade of codecs etc
Cons: so many
bad navigation, bad user interface, very little ability to change interface to my needs. it does not recognize my s/pdif out, which is a HUGE PROBLEM. it is buggy, lags even on dvds.Summary: even if you need blu ray capabilities, i would look around more. this is barely adequate for that, and very expensive for what little you get. i have better playing abilities of dvds on media player classic or zoom player through CCCP. they have b... read more >>

Version: CyberLink PowerDVD 9.1501D
Pros: Nice interface
Good quality playback, especially for HD contentCons: Navigation of files sucks
Very high resource hog
Video tweaks are horribleSummary: I own both PowerDVD9 and WinDVD8. I hated WinDVD8, not because of its set up but because it is so buggy so I tried PowerDVD9 and I wasted my money. WinDVD8 gets so much more right, if only it were more stable. First, navigation in PowerDVD is ab... read more >>

"I have not been able to install the trial download !!!"
Pros: Do know, can't install the trial to run it!
Cons: There is no installation information pertaining to the trial download, I have had a great deal of trouble finding the software. I am NOT a novice as I have been working on computers since 1977.
Summary: I do not like that no reply to my repeated emails to Cyberlink have been received. The software seemed to be what I wanted but Cyberlink may have lost a sale to me.
