To install the Cute Pdf writer, you have to agree to accept the Ask Toolbar on Internet explorer. Perhaps you might be able to uninstall the extra toolbar - but I did not want the hassle.

As I sought to install the Cute Pdf writer, you have to agree to accept the Ask Toolbar on Internet explorer. I.e. is clutered enough already without yet another tool bar. So I did not install it. The proverb hold - there's no such thing as a free meal!
So if you are happy to have another toolbar - this may be the product for you.
If not try another free pdf creator. -

Will glitch consistently when creating PDFs from some PowerPoint files. When this happens, it will stop after a certain page and print an error message in the PDF. It will not be able to create a print form this PPT.
Summary
CutePDF is easy to use with a very simple interface. However, I have repeatedly run into a glitch when trying to create a PDF file from a PowerPoint presentation. Only a portion of the presentation is converted. Thus, CutePDF does not always work.

I downloaded this application as a simple PDF writer so that I could print documents to PDF on my home computer. (Things like receipts from websites, etc, to cut down on paper.) This is the second laptop I have installed it on. I'm running Win 7 on this one; previous install was on WinXP.
CutePDF may not have a lot of features that power users of Acrobat may require, but if all you need is to create PDFs through the print interface, this is a great free app. It installs in seconds and appears as a printer choice in your print options. -

This is a really free pdf converter (not just for trial). The Pdf documents that it produces are of excellent quality, much better than that of its competitors I have used. Additionally it works really fast. It is now my permanent pdf converter. I only wish Cute would also have a Pdf-to-Word converter.

What's not to like? I was looking for something to convert Word to PDF's I have Office 2003 and don't have the money to upgrade to 2007 or Windows 7 where this problem is taken care of for you. Great product.

None I can see now, except there was a converter I had to download before this was installed. It added a little extra time since I'm on dial up, but it was worth theextra time.

I just downloaded so haven't really experienced it yet, but I did try it out and it works perfectly. It's fairly easy to install but probably would be easier if I wasn't on dial up. Out here in the country of South Texas, that's all we can get for the time being though.
