  "Easy to use and works as promised"

  Pros: Free, easy to install, creates PDF files with no limitations (just print to the CutePDF printer).

  Cons: Requires you to also download a separate program (the completely free and open source ps2pdf converter).

  Requires a system reboot after installation.

  Version: CutePDF Writer 2.4

  "Excellent! Not just for printing...save to PDF!"

  Pros: I needed to be able to save a document from a more obscure .dxf file to pdf so that my commercial printing company could open, view, and print the document. Acrobat didn't offer a conversion for this file type (that I knew of) to PDF. I was frustrated that I could not get this file to my printer in a useable format.

  I downloaded CutePDF after a referral. It was easy to download and easy to use. I open my .dxf file in my usual CAD program, select "Print" from the menu, and select the CutePDF Writer from my list of printers. Instead of printing the document (I don't need to print it on my own printer, just get it to my commercial printing company), I can just type a file name for the document to be saved as. Click and *poof*, I have the file now as a PDF in my documents folder. It is then easily opened in Acrobat Reader or emailed to whomever need be.

  Pros: PDF files created are exactly the same as file printed from.

  File size is usually small

  Cons: perfect for a free product, would have liked feature to allow combining of multiple pdfs

  "Great program!"

  Pros: There are some really great things about CutePDF. First off, ITS FREE! Secondly, this pdf converter leaves the file exactly as you left it in, no modification to the file exept changed to pdf. A big bonus here is no spyware or adware! I checked with a few different programs and nothing showed up.

  Cons: The only bad thing I can think about is that you may have to install a second file that doesnt come in the first download, BUT you will be told if you need it and where to get it. All in all the whole download takes a minute and is GREAT

  "A product that does EXACTLY what it claims!!!"

  Pros: From A-Z this is a great product. It installed quickly and easily with no bugs and no spyware, either. The Ghostscript program needed to be downloaded and installed separately, but that took 10 seconds.

  I have tried other freeware/shareware PDF programs, and this is by far the best. It works exactly as it should, and as Acro claims. Contrary to what another reviewer wrote, what I see in my source document is EXACTLY what I get in my PDF document. It is very quick and so easy. The software installs itself as a new printer. When one wants to create a .pdf file, just select the CutePDF printer, and the file is converted to .pdf format, and looks just as it does in the original file. It's that simple. I have been extremely happy with this.
