    "Watermark on Document"

    by cachito1 on November 7, 2006

Pros: I used this program to draw a simple flowchart while off-line, so I didn't have the benefit of a help file. I was happy with the result, but it may have been due as much to my perseverance as to the features of the program.

Cons: 1) Placing text outside a flowchart symbol can be a challenge.

As one example, I wanted a text box above a directional arrow which pointed from right to left. Try as I might, the text box always appeared below the arrow rather than above it, and the text appeared upside down. The problem was solved by using a different style connecting arrow.

    2) Each time I opened the document to continue work, I had to go back and change the grid spacing. The program didn't save the settings.

    3) When saving to the png or tif file format, the program places several watermarks on the document. I don't have a problem with it because I understand the authors need to protect their work, but I would like to see this mentioned under, "Limitations."

    "Greetings CuteDraw Folks!"

by villing on September 4, 2006

Pros: I just wanted to write to say how happy I am with your new product. I've been telling everybody I know to buy a copy of it.

All comments apply to CuteDraw 2.0.2. Evaluation environment: Windows XP Professional SP2, 512MB RAM, HP Pavilion Pentium 4 @ 2.2GHz, 1024x768 17" Samsung LCD display.

This is a BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED AND WRITTEN little program. It is just a little GEM. Thank you so much. It does what it says it will do and does it very intuitively (to me, at least). Using CuteDraw is like driving a Porsche (compared with using Visio, which is more like driving a bus). Smooth, smooth, smooth drag and drop action. And, hold the phone!, things actually get rendered where you dragged them (take note Microsoft). Five stars, cows, monkeys, whatever scale you want to use! This program is designed and written like all Windows programs SHOULD be designed and written (but which very few are). Congratulations. You should give seminars to Microsoft designers and developers.

Of course, not even a Porsche is perfect. I noticed a few things after using CuteDraw for only a couple of hours. My observations follow. I hope you accept them in the constructive spirit with which they are tendered.
