This freeware partition manager isn't cute as a button, but it's charming nevertheless. Cute Partition Manager requires that you make a boot CD or floppy, but the process is laughingly easy.
The interface is DOS circa 1994, with simple text on a solid background, but the screen is filled to the brim with useful information. Cute Partition Manager quickly finds every hard drive on your system. At a glance, you see every partition, boot type, file system, partition start and end, and total size. All controls are operated though the function keys. However, the publisher neglected to include an end program and reboot key.
Still, we found it easy to quickly add or alter partitions and change select settings. Unfortunately, you can't merge or resize existing partitions. Basic partitioning functions are easy to set and are often better than standard DOS functions. You can create more than 100 partitions per disk and preview changes; both processes that are difficult with similar software. For those who like collecting ISO images, you can easily create CPM's ISO directly from the interface. Not for novices, Cute Partition Manager is the kind of freeware every system administrator wants handy.

"Simple & Powerful Partition Manager"
Pros: As promised, simple to download, set-up & easy to use. Download, click on go to create bootable CD, re-start computer and the application just started. Quite simple interface, required task completed in a matter of 2 minutes!

Pros: I like that I now know I would NEVER get anything from this software developer again.
Cons: This is a real poor development of software. With a few keystrokes you can wipe out your whole computer like I did. If this company makes a disk to go back in and undo what it their software did then I might not be so angry. CNET usually has great stuff. Every now and then I guess some junk gets through.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: This is a dangerous program for those who are not familiar with partition. Unless CPM can do partition resizing, Windows Disk Management is good enough especially that WDM needs admin right.

Cons: Its not at all a partition manager, it gives options to create bootable Cd, DVD, floppy, and I dont know whether it works. Softwares like this with wrong description should be blocked.

"Limit to the size of the partition it creates"
Pros: Pretty simple and straight forward DOS based disk partitioning software...
Cons: I can see how easy it would be for someone not familiar with partitioning to completely wipe out their C drive, there's no documentation or help file. The website is pretty useless also. But the thing that **** me was that on a computer I was using it on - with 90 odd GB of unallocated space on a 160GB HDD it stubbornly insisted that the maximum partition size was only 20 odd GB... Could not find a decent free partition manager, apart from the trial version of BootIT, which looks much nicer and has more features. If anyone knows of one, well it'd be better than this
