Quickly create an encrypted partition on your hard drive with this simple tool. With Cryptex 60GB you can easily secure files so that only you can access them. While it doesn't include many options, even inexperienced users should have no trouble using the program.
The installation wizard is a mere three steps. First, choose a new drive letter and folder to hold the data. Step two is just filling two text boxes with a password for the drive. The final step is to set the drive size, up to 60GB, and method of encryption. Cryptex 60GB offers AES, Blowfish, and Triple DES with a key length up to 256. Experienced users can choose to format the new drive manually. Most users will let the app do it automatically.
After install, you use the Cryptex drive like any hardware drive. Files are added or deleted with Windows Explorer. You can use the program's plain interface to lock or unlock the new drive to prohibit access by other users. Lock the drive and close Cryptex to put the data out of reach.
The demo allows only a single drive, but the registered app can create additional drives with just a button click. Programs in this genre are often complex to set up or operate, but that's not the case with this entry. Cryptex allows inexperienced users to install and operate an encrypted drive.

"Cryptex... Just what I was looking for"

Pros
This software is just what I was looking for. I have 2 kids at home ages 8 and 12 and we have 1 family computer. I have personal information that isn't appropriate for my kids to see.
Once my youngest son deleted an important document on me :( I downloaded Cryptex a few days ago, and it gave me a way to easily add my files to a new hard drive that it created, and lock it encrypted.
In today's world there's enough to worry about. I'm glad the worry of my kids deleting my work and other data is gone. I now am one step closer to having peace of mind :)
I give Cryptex a 10 on 10 for ease of use. and a 10 on 10 for usefulness. What a unique product idea!

I download the trial of this product. I was so amazed how easy it was to use and the best part it was free. I recommended this software to my work place and they also downloaded free copies and are now thinking of purchasing and bigger vault size. Thanks Again for the great software...

"perfect for hiding data for multi user computers"

Pros
You create a master password, and then can create vaults. The vaults show up in your "my computer". You can work directly off the dynamically created vault. When you're done you just lock the vault. The drive disapears. When you're ready to access/modify your data later, simply start the application and re-enter your password. Your vault re-appears!
I've been trying many other encrypted hard drive applications. Cryptex is by far the best. First off, the 30MB vault is free. Secondly, you can dynamically add more drives. And my favorite option is that it only takes up the room that you actually store to it. It's the only app in its class that has that last feature.
Cons
Free version only has 1 vault included. If you upgrade to the bigger vault you get 3 plus more space. Overal definitely worth downloading the 30MB free vault though!
