You can change the colors of the numbers and you do not need a background.
No alarm, always stays on top of windows.
Try it out, it works fine for me.
I have Windows Vista.
Pretty easy to use
Slightly strange set up, and no "finished" sound.
I like it, good and easy to use.
As it was said before, if only we can make do something else when the countdown is completed, like write our own texts or make it play a sound or something.
I like that this simple count down timer can be made to be just floating numbers counting down. I use it with the darkroom writing software and this allows it to be on top and unobtrusive.
I wish that when it hit the end of the countdown that SOMETHING happened. Maybe even allowing me to set the something. I've used it twice and can't tell if there is a completion sound because I have been focused and not noticed it. Maybe a louder fanfare or something WAV or MP3 settable, or even if I could kick off a external program, or heck maybe even flashing or blinking text options.
I also wish it were easier to set for other intervals; to count down twenty minutes or 2 hours without having to figure it out. I'm just lazy that way. I've seen other timers that do that but they are not as unobtrusive as this one, and that is for me it's best feature.
