Cor Leonis displays a 3D view of the stars and planets in the sky as seen from any place on earth at any time - and even shows the sun during day hours. Built-in texts briefly explain historical connotations and other remarkable facts for each constellation. An easy-to-use app for everyone who wants to know more about the constellations and the stories behind. The first-person view features a realistic horizon for better orientation. A seamless transition into a 360 degree surround view gives access to the whole visible sky at a glance. A list of all visible constellations and planets allows to locate them by name. In "live mode", just hold the iPhone or iPad in front of you to find out what constellation you're looking at (this feature is not available on iPod Touch). The sun in the virtual sky lets you experience its movement through the zodiac over the course of the year. The built-in texts describing the constellations tell essential facts about origin, mythology, and important stars even without an Internet connection. Learn how the Great Bear and the Little Bear are associated, who Andromeda was, or that Cor Leonis ("lion's heart") is the brightest star in the constellation Leo. While connected to the Internet, configurable web queries can be used to conveniently open a browser from a constellation's description for finding out more. Cor Leonis is suitable for couch-surfing the sky, as well as taking your iDevice out for a walk at night (supported by an additional darker display color scheme).
